hi guys,
i keep getting an error message while trying to rip some avi files from some cd's, The message says: "Data error (Cyclic redundancy check). the avi's seem to play ok from cd, but there are just a few that wont be ripped?
Can anyone help?

you mean u had problems copying .avi files from your CD-R to your hd???
windows explorer shouldn't have problems copying files over...make sure you use "copy" and not "move" -
yeah, most of them copy to my hard drive fine, but there is a couple on each disk that give me this error message?

u have multiple computers on a network??? if you do, you can try sharing a computer's cd-rom on the network and then copying the file from that computer's cd-rom to another computer's hd.
i believe i had similar problems too, but rather in copying the .mpg file from SVCD discs
