Okay, I ripped a DVD movie with SmartRipper, then used DVD2AVI to preview the file. While doing that, I saw that the video is progressive and the frame rate is 29.97. And - I'm not completely sure about this - it's also FILM.
...just checking to make sure that that's actually possible.Because I thought 29.97 was only for NTSC... interlaced...

And also, if I were to load this into Adobe Premiere, would I set 29.97 as the frame rate and use Square Pixels for aspect ratio since the other settings are interlaced?
Help would be VERY much appreciated, as I am very confused at this point...

Ignore the "frame rate" box, if you have "Force Film" enabled it will always say 23.976 and if you don't it will always say 29.976. What you should pay attention to is the box that says FILM or NTSC. If it says FILM with a very high percentage, NTSC with a very low percentage, or just FILM you should enable Force Film and treat the d2v file as a 23.97fps source.
