  1. I've been burning my SVCD's with chapters every 3 minutes with VCDEASY. But if I watch an SVCD and then hit "Next" to go to the next chapter, it only goes to chapter 2 because it hasn't progressed through the chapters as I watch it. Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

I don't really think so, this is just the downside to entrypoint chapters. With I-Author you can set both entry and exit points and they work exactly as you how you want, however after about the first 3 chapters the times are way off and I don't know why. Also there is no guarantee that there wont be a pause between chapters as well.

As far as I know the only way to do what your asking is to actually use separate mpgs for each chapter and that really is no kind of solution.

Perhaps I'm confused about what you're asking. I author SVCD with VCDEasy with 5 min chapters and chapterxtractor. I don't use the "NEXT" button to advance chapters, I hit the large navigation arrow (< or >) button on my Apex remote to advance a chapter. I can hit it in quick succession and it advances however many chapters I click it. The only time it doesn't advance is if I have played through the chapter for awhile, in that case it jumps to the beginning of the chapter that was playing then I can rapid advance with > button.

The next and prev keys are the > and < keys. Like you said, if you jump from one to the next immediately then they work fine. but since you can only specify a start point, it will jump to the next or prev chapter regardless of where you actually are in the movie.

So if you jump to ch 3 and let it play up to where chapter 9 is, and you hit next then you will jump to ch 4. As far as I know there is no way to avoid this using entrypoint chapters.

  5. Thanks guys, that's too bad though, oh well, it's not a big annoyance. How many times do you really have to advance chapters while already in to a movie anyways? Almost never. Btw, I have an Apex 1500. I assume you have either the 1200 or the 1500.
