I can't figure this out, I can convert DVD rip's that I made perfect(Vob files.)If I try to convert a DVDRip which is in avi format, they end up with no sound, so I thought creating the sound file seperate with VirtualDub would work, then the sound work's..It's just all out of synch and messed up.

I've been trying for so long, and tried everything I know...Any ideas ?

I am assuming you are following the guides on how to convert the files. So one thing you could try is using virtual dubb to scan the file for bad frames because bad frames can cause the audio and video to be out of sync.

Also ensure that the framerate that you convert too (in TmpGenc?) matches that of the avi file. If not that will cause gradual sync problems as the movie plays.
Another possibility is the avi has VBR audio. In my experience vdub/TmpGenc does not always handle this correctly even when saved out using full processing mode. In this case I extract the audio with goldwave (www.goldwave.com) and find it works fine.
Hope this helps. -
Lol, I already tried those...I figured it out last night...
I had to alter the VFAPI settings and make Directshow the top priority.Only G O D can judge me.
