  1. I am confused about these two things. I read that virtualdub will not work with a WDM driver all the time. I have a wintv card (BT 848) and use the driver at btwincap.sourceforge.net (which is a WDM driver) on my windows 2000 computer. I use virtualdub all the time. I do not have the "wrapper" installed either. Can someone please explain why this works for me and also what exactly "wfv" and "wdm" mean? thx...

    actually, you more than likely have it installed allready. Search for a file called "vfwwdm32.dll" more than likely, you will find it in the system32 directory, but just use the search command. that is the so called "wrapper"

  4. The wrapper is included with XP, sounds like this is the case for 2000 also.

    VFW = Video For Windows
    WDM = Windows Driver Model
