No audio with playback..

I have no audio with playback of some avi files in windows media player and divx player, and when i burn the avi to a vcd, and pop it in my dvd player i only see video and hear no audio, just how it in in windows.... can someone possibly tell me what codecs i might need, or how to fix this problem, thx

It might be helpful if you would xplain how you made a vcd out of an avi.
second, open your avi in virtualdub and read the file information ( file/file info)
Look for audio!

Most likely u need the Ac3 codec.
You will need to strip and convert the audio b4 making a VCD out of it tho.
