  1. I have been reading a lot of the posts on the new tool DVD2DVDR, and the other thread is so long it is hard to find if there is anything to answer my questions. I was just wondering if there is an English version that can be downloaded somewhere? If so, is there an english user guide too? I went to download it yesterday, but the site in German was tough to understand being that I don't speak German. I first downloaded by mistake a German User Guide for DVD2DVDR. Then, I found the link to DVD2DVDR, but when I downloaded, the instructions to install were all in German, and I got an error in German. I have Windows XP, does anyone know what that error could be? If anyone knows, please let me know.

    Thanks

At the moment the install is in german but the App itself is in english.
There's no need for a guide as the app is just point and click.
You do need to know how to author a dvd (IfoEdit or some other tool) as DVD2DVR doesn't handle this.

  3. thanks Donalo for the 411, I'm just curious if you have any idea why I am getting that install error in German? From what I've read from the author and others, this should install on WinXP without a Service Pack. I am downloading Service Pack 1 now because it doen't install without getting an error or errors in German. Hopefully SP1 will fix that as did the SP's on other WIN OS's. I also have Nero and ASPI drivers. Have you heard anything about other issues that might resolve this and allow this program to install on XP?

I installed it on WinXP SP1 no problem.

The install is built using Visual Basic's built in Package and deployment wizard.

This is basically a heap of S*** so god knows what it's complaining about!

Hopefully the program developers will build a proper setup for it soon.

  5. Well, if it is built using Visual Basic, you will need to have the VB libraries installed in your system. To do so go to MS site or install the complete package of Script Converter...
