Guys help making VD and SVCD

Guys please give details explaination on how to make these two. what programs steps etc. I already have divx avi file ready to be converted. I would like to make the vcd or svcd autoloading if possible maybe with menus. problem is every howto article i read they seem to be using versions that I cant find and the screen examples dont match very often. thx

You'll need to convert that divx into mpeg, which you could do a number of ways. Read up on this site, it DOES have all the answers.

Also, you won't want to make a SVCD out of a DIVX file.. it's probably come from a VCD source, so you'll just end up, if anything, making it look a bit worse.
