  1. In this movie the Native American Indians speech is displayed
    with english subtitles.

I only ripped one english subtitle stream, and I can not seem
to get PowerDVD to display ONLY the Indians speech.
Even if I select second sub: english

Did this DVD have two English subtitles?

OR is it that if I author a DVD with ifoedit0.95
I can no longer have this selective forced subtitle scheme???

After the first strip the English sub have the ID: 0x20 and 0x26
But can not get PowerDVD to display this with selective subs either.

Used vobedit for demuxing the substream.
The final authored dvd only have id 0x20.

It does have two English subtitles and the second is the Native American subtitle. I believe it was the fourth subtitle set.

  3. TIP: the alien subs (or similar -- i.e., the movie is in English but there are short sections where there are subs for "alien" or "foreign" language) are almost always the LAST subtitle set.

    If it is arranged in:
    English 1
    Language 2
    Language 3
    Language 4
    English 2

... you can almost bet your bottom dollar that English 2 is the "alien" subs.

TIP2: WATCH the DVD before you rip! There are a surprising number of movies that have "alien subs" that you might not be aware of (e.g., Charlie's Angels).

  4. I do not have access the original dvd right now.

Can someone demux subtrack 4 with vobedit and email it to me?
    (or is that considered warez?)

Do I need to edit the sub to be "forced" in ifoedit before final burn?
