    Straight from their website

Our latest Laserlock STAR version has been tested under the latest advanced copying software. This includes:

    Nero Burning v.5
    Clone-CD v.3211
    Easy CD Creator v.5
    Win on CD v.5
    CD-R Win v.4
    Adaptec Direct CD v.5
    Blind Read/Write v.3/1
    Packet-CD

The results were extremely positive. Some of these s/w cannot even create a copy CD at all. From those who can do so, the copy has a very unstable behavior, virtually meaning that it cannot run in almost any CD and DVD drive.
They claim their software LaserLock is
    - uncrackable, with no Generic Cracks

    - Virtually 100% resistant agaist the latest, advanced copying software and the devices of the global market

    - the most compatible copy protection system worldwide (CD-Rom and DVD-Rom drives)

    - Totally transparent to replicators and end-users, no passwords, no extra devices.

    - Of low cost and hight efficiency.
And here is a quick run down on how it works
LaserLock uses a combination of encryption software and a unique laser marking a "physical sinature" on the CD surface made during the special LaserLock glass mastering procedure, in order to make copying virtually impossible.

LaserLock consists of the following successful combination:

    - Sophisticated Code Encryption software
    - Physical Signature on CD, made during a unique and special glass-mastering process
    - State-of-the-Art Debug Prevention software engineering embedded in the s/w code

Most important, LaserLock offers protection that is non generic as each protection package is characterised by a unique locking parameter which is specified during the LaserLocking procedure and provides complete protection against illegal re-mastering and reproduction.

LaserLocked applications cannot be copied, re-mastered or reproduced. It is completely transparent to the end-user. No special codes, passwords, dongles, etc. are needed. No time consuming procedures are required. As far as the end-user is concerned, installation of the CD is just as simple as loading any other commercial CD-ROM which can be re-installed as many times as one wishes.
What do you guys think about this?

I saw a program that could crack it. It writes code that simulaties the variations in the glass master.

    I wish i remember where.

  5. Don't really know...

You may be able to get away with it by copying it onto a CD and have daemon-tools in the background with the emulation running (i.e., you don't actually need to mount an image of the disc).
