I just bought a brandnew Philips DVDR 890 (dvd recorder) and would like to make it multiregion. I found a hack here, using the remote, but I am a little afraid to try it.
Is there any risk involved and can you loose the warranty when something goes wrong ?
TIA for your answers.

Remote hacks are the best kind. i dont think this would affect warranty b/c you didnt physically alter your player - like some hacks require to open case and such or upgrade bios via a cdrom . i only wish mine was remote hackable.
