Problems with my Philips DVD 723 player with playing mp3s.

I have a new Philips dvd 723 bought in Sweden. The player doesn´t take my MP3 cds! The cds works on the computer and on other dvds. I have burnt the cds in Nero5. What should I do to be able to play mp3s on the player?
