Hi, I want to know if there is a way to convert AVI's (or something similar) on to a CD so that is viewable on a standalone DVD player; i.e. an X-Box. I've managed to encode a MPEG on to a VCD, but the X-Box doesn't play VCD's. Or do I need an expensive DVD-Writer? Also, I've managed to rip several movies (Gladiator, Cats & Dogs, Highlander: Endgame, and Harry Potter) from the DVD's into an AVI with DivX 5 Compression - is there a way to put these on to a CD and view them on my X-Box? Cheers.

Needn't patronise me. I've looked through them all, but whenever I try the 'Convert to DVD' tutorials, I always end up with a VCD. Is it possible to end up with a movie that will play on a DVD player through a CD-R / CD-RW? Simple question....
