    When I play some avi and divx movies on my computer.I dont get any sound. Does anybody know why!!! Do I need something to hear it.

    This because the media you are playing from is encoded with AC3 for sound. You need ac3filters or similar Ac3 decoder to be install.

    Try search for ac3filters on google.
