  1. My TV system is PAL. I own the Pinnacle PCTV Tuner card. My PC is in my room and I use a 10-metre long OFC (Oxygen Free Cable) to connect my tuner card to the TV-cable point in another room.
I'm not getting a very clear signal when I watch TV on my PC. And the video capture is equally unclear.
Is the length of the cable affecting the signal? Or is the quality of the cable affecting?
I came across a thicker length of cable costing twice as much as mine. Should I buy that?
    Pls help. Thanks!

Cable infromation is more myth than science.

Most cables under 20'/6 meters are basicly indistingushable if they are properly terminated and of proper gauged and sheilded materal.

So I would start looking at other parts of your setup before tossing the cable. Start with mappgin out your cable, since every splitter is reducing the signal by at least half. Try attaching the PC directly to the signal as it enters the house, if it's poor there then their is not much you can do except complain to the cable company ( good luck ).

    Good luck.

Radioshack sells signal boosters. Try attaching one to the sending end of the cable going to your PC. Made a big difference in the picture quality, for me.
