  1. I have a unique problem. I am burning vcd of tv shows and fir about 3 per vcd. I'm not sure why, but the first two eps work fine, but the third has a lot of errors. I am burning them at only 8x. I have a lite-on 40x cd-r and am using pny cdr media. Could this be a problem with the dvd player, or what? Thank you,
    Tommy

    few questions come to mind:

are these ones you made or downloaded?

what does it look like BEFORE burning ?

u say fit ABOUT 3 per cd -- are you chopping the 3rd one ? and if so , how ?

have you tried other media and/or different speed burning already?

are other vcd's also causing proplems in this dvd player ?

have you tried playing them another dvd player (go to a store or friends house and play them)

  3. Yeah, I just tried some other cdr's and they work ok. Funny thing is these are the super cheapo silver top cdr's. All of the mpgs look fine before theygo on cd, and they all fit ok ( about 20 min each), so I figure it's the PNY. I've never used them, but I figure that since they're a good memory co, that they would have good media. I guess not. Thanks for your help.

PNY doesn't make their media. Like almost all the other companies, they just pay somebody else to make it with their logo. The current PNY media seems to be pretty low-quality, though they were fine back when PNY spools first started showing up in the big retail chains. They probably changed to a cheaper OEM. The cheap silver-top media probably came from a better OEM.
