  1. hi, i'm new at this so please go easy on me....I have a dvd karoke and it has some songs that I like on it....is there a way to get some songs off of the DVD and burn it to a regular CD-R disk? if so, what programs do I need....i have a cd-r burner, and a dvd reader on my computer....thanks

    The most simple way i know of (not the most productive) would be to run DVD2SVCD. it will make a (s)VCD out of the DVD.. then you can use TMPGenc, to cut out the videos you want.

    in that case...
    hmm.. well if you do the DVD2SVCD way, you will get a encoded_audio.mp2
    which will be the audio from the entire DVD, then you could drop that in goldwave and cut out the songs you wanted and save them as WAV

    there is other ways.. but i dont know of any that are simpler
