I want to be able to burn a vcd format to a dvd...i assume that the dvd player doesn't care that it is on a dvd rather than a regular cd...right?

Yes, it does care. You do have an alternative though...

that way i can fit two or more vcds on a dvd then play them on a dvd player...
Second question is...Is it true that a dvd player that also plays vcd and mp3 cd uses two different lasers to read?
If so that might pose a problem in my theroy.... -
THANKS!!!
I am intrested in using the Initial DVD-9510 does it support the dvd standard? How can I find out? -
I think it does support it.
Form VCDHelp.com dvd player copatablity guide:
DVD-VCD, VCD MPEG on DVDR/W support
DVD-SVCD, SVCD MPEG2 on DVDR/W support
Right?
