    Please help. i have a divx with ac3 audio. normally i turn that into wave using virtualdub but when i do the resulting wav is extremely choppy and slightly fast. I am convinced it is a codec issue and have installed the nimo pack with the ac3 codec. i also get teh same problem if i just join/edit or cut the avi, the resulting avi palys back the same as above.

    You may not be converting to VCD, but the method of extracting the audio etc is the same no matter what.

    I would suggest

    though as it is much better than to convert AC3 to .wav.
