I just tried this for the first time yesterday.
I downloaded an mpeg file, plays as an mpeg on my computer ok.
I used ESCD5 and burned a CD on a PNY CDR. I went to the DVD Player Panasonic DVD-R31, it read the CD, but I did not see anything.
Is there a trick to playig it, or is it the media?
I can run the .dat on the computer and see and hear the sound.
Is there something I am missing.

If you were able to hear the sound on your Panasonic player (but not see the video) then the video bitrate was probably too high for the player.
If you didn't even get sound then you might try a CD-RW disc. Some players will play those even though they won't play a CD-R. Check the compatability database:
