    First: I did look in the How To Convert Area - But I am a newbie to this stuff so any link to a thread that shows how to would be great.

    I have a sony computer with their gigapocket software and I want to convert a windows media player file to something i can burn on to dvd-r to watch on tv on our apex dvd players also want keep the same quality from something i captured from tv on the computer.

    This gigapocket software saves the captured tv show in a Windows Media Player file.

    Thanks any info would be great

    I did look in that area - sorry but I am new and did not see anything - I am sure it is there but as I said I am new to this and a link or something would be great to a post that shows how to do it..

    Never tried converting from WMV, but the same principles should apply...


    How to convert to VCD with TMPGEnc
    DivX to VCD. Also supports AVI to VCD, DV to VCD, ASF to VCD,MOV to VCD, SMR to VCD ,WMV to VCD, VCD to VCD, MPEG to VCD and MPEG2 or M2V to VCD. Very good quality, lots of settings. Windows. Freeware.

    How to convert to SVCD with TMPGEnc
    DivX to SVCD. Also supports AVI to SVCD, DV to SVCD, ASF to SVCD, MOV to SVCD, SMR to SVCD, WMV to SVCD, MPEG1 to SVCD, MPEG2 to SVCD, SVCD to SVCD. Very good quality, lots of settings. Freeware.
