I have been sucessfully ripping DVD's to DVDR's using the DVD2DVR method in the tutorials. However, now I am using a different version of TMPGEnc (last one expired) when I rip DVD's to the *.m2v format, it is being ripped from, for example, 5-6 GB to 1 GB, which is obviously very small for a 4.3 GB DVDR.
This makes a dramatic loss in quality. Is there any way I can make the sixe back to the usual 3-3.5 GB? Please help, it probably isn't a hard thing to sort but I'm buggered if I know!
Cheers! 8)

The last movie (130 mins)I encoded with tmpgenc was done at 3800 kbs 2 pass vbr. You have to load the dvd template 1st, then load the unlock template to allow the bitrate to be changed. The m2v file produced was 3.5Gb & allowed room for 2 ac3 soundtracks. I used the new ifoedit 0.95 to put the lot together including the original chapter breaks. Doom9.org have a link to a guide on the new ifoedit.
