  1. I searched and found no references to this card, has anyone used one of these? They appear to be hardware mpeg1/2 cards, what's the scoop?

I use the latest European version: Kworld DVDMaker ; It seems to be the same thing as the TV station card.
I have no problems - it works like a charm, and the TV functionality is great.
Only the manual is a bit spartan. I had to experiment a lot to get the results I wanted. Not the best capture card out there, but certainly worth the money.
I upgraded from a Pinnacle MP10, and this one is miles ahead of the old MP10.

  3. I have the Kworld TV card and I really like it for viewing TV on the PC. The only problem I'm having is that I can't seem to figure out why it doesn't capture the audio along with the video in video capture mode.

I have the line out connected to the line in on my sound card and I have audio when I just watch TV.

Problem is that it doesn't do me much good if I can't play back what I capture.

I've checked out KWorld's support site and it just says to make sure the Line In volume control isn't muted. It wasn't.

    Any suggestions?

  4. In case anyone is wondering, I did get an answer to my problem. Kworld Tech Support came through.

I followed the following instructions for Windows XP:

    1.Open your sound volume control.
    2.Select Options then select Properties.
    3.Select Recording, then OK.
4.Check the "What U Hear" is selected and not Mute.

    Best Regards,
    Sue

It looks like this card is made by Provideo (256T) and sold under Kworld name (DVD maker TV). Also Aviosys sells another version of this card (DVD PLUS 3020)

I think the best drivers are the ones made by Provideo and they even include a development kit.

For reviews and support go to http://www.iln.com.au/pv256.html

    For diffenet vendors go to:

    Kworld (DVD maker TV): http://www.kworld.com.tw/products/pro2/kw-tv-version.htm
    Provideo (256T): http://www.provideo.com.tw/PV256.htm
    Aviosys (DVD PLUS 3020): http://www.aviosys.com/3020e.htm

Remember to download and install Provideo 256T drivers because they are better than the Kworld ones.

    Otto.
