I have been using a WINTV and Pinnacle Studio AVDV to capture my PAL 8mm tapes. I prefer uncomressed or HUFFY for capture but am dropping some frames on the WINTV. I noticed that the retail box (in the USA where I now reside) for the AIW cards specifies 720x480 as the maximum resolution.
I am hoping that the specification relates to the NTSC tuner, and is not a limitation on the capture size on the composite inputs.
Can anyone put my mind at rest so that I can make a purchase decision?

Craig, which OS are you using? Win2k? XP?
If it is one of those two, which cap proggie are you using?
I would like to use one of these cards in my Win2k system with Vdub, but I'm restricted to VCD rez with my (old) AIW 8meg, kinda wanted to see if it was the wrappers fault or my clunky old hardware.
Thanx.
