Since my VideoWave III has a known lip-sync problem when outputing AVI to tape, and it doesn't have the file-size workaround, I use Scenalyzer to seamlessly output multiple AVIs to Mini-DV or VHS. I haven't compared the color output with VideoWave and Scenalyzer yet, but in a recent production I have an opening credits scene with a two-tone color background. When outputting it to my DV cam/vcr the color is off. The original color is a purplish-rasberry, but it comes out more pinkish-red.
Does anyone know why there is a difference? I thought digital to digital was a lossless procedure, and would also mean what you see on one end is what you would see on the other (provided the viewing monitors are adjusted correctly).
Any constructive input would be apprecitated.
