I hope i can explain my problem with my poor english...

I got a Pioneer DV-626D and always made my VCDs with ‘Smartripper-DVD2AVI-TMPGEnc’. I used the standard template with 1246 Bitrate.

From one day to another my Pioneer couldn’t read NEW VCDs any more, when I put in a CD I could hear the drive try to read but then the Player just opened the drive again. My old VCDs (I made them exactly the way I’m making the new ones) still work absolutely perfect!

I thought the problem where my CDR’s (although I always use the same for about 2 years) and I tried other ones but nothing changed. So I tried different CD-Writers and Burning Programs (always used Nero), I tried different TMPGEnc-Versions - nothing changed.
My last solution was, that my Pioneer was the problem, so I bought a cheap DVD for VCDs only. I bought the Scott 838.
But then there occurred a new problem: The CDs were readable but the picture stuck every time when it got black (for example after the “20 th Century Fox Trailer” for about 5 Seconds and I had several slowdowns. The Sound worked absolutely fine.
This happens with ALL my VCDs – old and new.

I brought back the Scott to get another one, but nothing changed. So I got a CyberHome 402, but the problem stayed…

And to confuse everyone completely:
- All my VCDs work perfect on PC and on a Yamakawa DVD Player from a friend...
- VCDs I didn’t create by myself (…) work perfect on the Cyberhome and I think also on the Scott.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong and I hope someone can help me!
