    I'm looking to buy a dvd player that will play svcd at 2500kb/sec without problems. I only want to spend $100 or less and if theres one that'll play dvd-r,dvd-rw,etc. as well that would be good too. Anyone know of a dvd player that would fit that description?

    check out the JVC S300. it's around $110 usd, and supposedly plays everything. if you're talkin canadian dollars then your only option is an apex 1100W or something similar.
