Unknown TMPGEnc error

I get the following error when trying to add this mpg to a VCD or SVCD template:

"internal error in CVCDDoc::IsProperMediaItem"

This .mpg is 105mb and just short of 1hr running time.

VirtualDub says its an ASF.

MediaPlayer properties says "Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V3"

TMPGEnc says "cannot open or unsupported".

More than likely someone renamed the file extention somewhere down the line as I've run into few of them myself. Try renaming it back to .asf. TMPGEnc will process an .asf file if you have the proper codec installed. Download and install the Nimo codec pack as it includes most of the necessary codecs you might encounter.
