I read from DVD player manual, that SVCD support Wide screen.
How do I setup to encode wide screen DVD to wide screen SVCD ?
Do most DVD player support wide screen SVCD, allow pan and Zoom ?
I notice most wide screen DVD dsisc lockout pana and zoom.

you can't. well, at least it isn't part of the SVCD standard.
what you can do is encode your film with borders.. this does of course mean the image will be smaller and have a lower resolution.
if you have a widescreen TV and you don't plan on watching the discs on another TV (ie a 4:3 TV) you could encode them as fullscreen and the DVD player would stretch them to the right aspect to appear correctly on your TV, much like anamorphic widescreen DVD's.

SVCD supports widescreen, but in 4:3 format. It's kind of a trick question. To get widescreen on SVCD, geek rock is correct. You will need to encode your MPEG as 4:3, but use a 16:9 aspect ratio.
From the Doom9 site:
1:2.35 movies: 480x208
1:1.85 movies: 480x256
1:1.33 movies: 480x368
The remaining space is filled with letterboxing to mimic a widescreen movie.Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
