I received the 2 Disc DivX/AVI movie from a friend the other day. Last night I proceeded to watch the movie before burning it to CD and such. Well about 9 minutes into the first AVI file the screen just goes white with no sound, or garbled sound. This happens when 'John Nash' is taking notes on the pigeons outside the school. About 2 minutes later, or when 'John Nash' is playing that checker style game the film returns to a clear audio and video mode. The rest of that file works fine.
I figured this was junk frames so I used virtual dub to search and fix junk frames and then save the avi. Well that worked... sort of. The video part of the junk frames were removed, all 2 minutes worth, but that offset the audio after that point by a solid 2 minutes if not more.
Is there anything I can do to fix that without it removing such a chunk of video? Or should I just try to re-get the first avi file?
