hollow sound in movie?

I have a movie with a good picture but has a hollow sound to it, is there any way to remove just the hollow sound? and how do I do that?

Also, I have another one with good picture that has a hissing sound in background, can that be removed and how do I do that?

I usually use TMPGEnc.

there are many programs that profess to remove hiss .. here are some on this page you can try http://www.audiotools.co.uk/enhancers.shtml

the hollow sound may be got rid of by just using 1 channel often or mixing both channels together and partialy subtracting one i think
