http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/121195.php

OPen ifoedit, then click the open button in the lower left hand corner, browse the the directory your DVD to be files are in then open the main IFO file, then open the other Ifos also. All of them should now be listed in the top window if you look through the list.
Lastly click Get VTS sectors then click quit and your done. -
it sure is fun isn't it?
open the video_ts.ifo in ur VIDEO_TS folder
hope you have this,if not create one, using
ifoedit if you have vts_0x_0.ifo, if not you
better rip it again....then get ur vts sectors
region free it while ur here, remove those puop's
also.....just for fun,save it...watch it re-process
those ifo's,get used to seeing whats happening
so if it doesnt you know something might be
wrong.... -
thanks for your responses! i see it now. I didnt have ifoedit mazimized to the total size and i couldnt see those options at the bottom
so makes more sense, but also clears it up even more.
thanks.
i ended up burning it without this step and it turned out just fine from what i see .. well play in my standalone just fine!
using the new sony 500a.
copied the same movie twice. one time on a +rw and second on a -rw.
both seem to play flawless on my apex ad1100w. but i think i am gonna have to invest in a lil higher end player here when i get some cash... at least one with optical out lol.
used memorex media by the way,, even though people are saying they have had troubles with memorex and this burner!
tomorrow i will find me a dual sided one thats bigger than 4.7
thanks again! this thing rocks! -
You only need optical for Dolby Digital and DTS. And you only need DD and DTS if you have 5.1-8.1 speaker setup and a receiver to push it.
If you have the speakers, the receiver, and your still using RCA's - then you're missing half of the movie. Santa better bring you that optical line!
P.S. Don't get suckered into the $75 component XLO video cables like I did."You're going to need a lot of legal advice before this is all over... As your attorney, I suggest you rent a very fast car with no top- and we'll need the cocaine." -Dr. Gonzo, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
