  1. howdy im a newbie so i apologise if im covering old stuff but basically i have tons tv episodes in mpg format vcd audio 44100 and im trying to find a way i can make a vcd on a dvd ie like on a cdr but instead of one episode have 9 episodes as they average 450mb each if this cant be done i will have to do them in dvd format but this has proven a pain aswell. Ive converted one to dvd format low res in tmpgencoder but it blew the mpeg out to 655mb wich then restricts the amount i can put on a disc, is there an easy way to get at least 8 episodes onto a dvdr in either vcd or dvd format ? (all the mpgs are in 1150 bitrate and audio 44100 ave size 400-450mb mpeg1

  2. DVD supports the VCD specs so you can do it without reencoding. You just need to upsample the audio from 44.1KHz to 48 KHz.

Read this guide for more info.

  4. If they are in dat format extract them to MPG using VCDgear. The DVD authoring process will convert them to vob's

  6. hmm it worked using dvdit 2.5 but the audio file almost doubled the file size the mpg i tried to put on was 366 mb as the mv1 file and 69mb on the audio stream the mpa i had tpo manually link the audio to the video in dvdit but as soon as i do it blows the size upto ove 800mb if i unlink it it drops back down is there any way around this? this unless i created the project wrong or something i selected dvd mpeg1(complient) in one of the tutorials it mentions mpeg2 nut im assuming that will blow out the filesize where i just want to keep the vcd files(qual/size) as they are.

  8. I think DVDit only supports pcm and ac3 audio not mpeg audio. So it reencodes your audio to a much larger size when you author the disc. To get more video on 1 disc you need to use software that supports mpeg audio such as ulead dvd workshop.
