  1. I split a movie (.avi format) using V-Dub into 2 equal parts. However, when I converted the first split to mpeg2....and then tried to burn the first split...it was bigger than the original .avi file. The problem lies when I try to burn it, due to the increased mpeg2 size...it will not fit onto 1 CD now. Will I have to RE-SPLIT this mpeg2 file??
Just curious.....what color of hair do they put on the drivers license of bald men??

Try using TMPGEnc to cut and encode at the same time. Use the
Setting-->Advanced tab-->Source Range function, once you have selected your template.

  3. Ok...thank you, Tommyknocker. But, once I select my template, SVCD in my case, will it automatically "see" it as a mpeg2 file and split as a mpeg2 even though the source file is .avi?

    Thanks!

Exactly. Once you tell TMPGEnc by selecting the appropiate template, you want a SVCD MPEG-2 format file from your AVI file, TMPGEnc will make one using the data from your AVI file.
