Is there any way I can burn an SVCD & play on Apex DVD

I have tried everything with ffmpegx to burn an svcd. Each time, I end up with at 400+ mb file, that looks great. There may be a little problem at the end.. with sync, but each time I burn, and when I try to play on the player, I can see the numbers on the timer of the DVD Player ticking by very rapidly. and nothing playing on the screen.

What would be the settings, that I can change that might allow this dvd player to play SVCD? or does it..

what kind of APEX DVD u got?
its usually located underneath the cdtray of ur player.. once u knew what model it is go here http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers search for ur player see if it supports SVCD...
Well most of the APEX models should support that format but im not sure about that.. hope this helps..
