  1. I am trying to use the "vcd header trick" to see if it will work with my player. I converted a DivX file to SVCD format using TMPGenc then applied the header trick with a simple demux. If i understand correctly i need to now use nero and burn in VCD mode with compliance off. This is where my problem is happening using nero i drop my 783 meg file into the program and it says it is too big for the 80min cd etc. I am obviously missing something in the conversion the header trick or maybe not burning in the right mode with nero? any help would be appreciated thank you

In simple demux there's a plain mpg1 and mpg2 option, you may have used one of them, thay will not burn in mode 2 which gives the 800MB capacity. Be certain you chose the option for VCD non-standard or VCD standard, they should work.

  3. That solved my problem. I originally picked mpg1 vcd from the drop down menu at first but if you then add your SVCD file in TMPGEnc changes your selection back to mpg2 vbr, I didn't catch that the first time but changed it back the second time and now nero likes it. Thank you much wulf109.
