My Stand-alone player (Pioneer 343) will normally play anything burned by Nero. I have an mpeg VCD file (downloaded), that simply refuses to be recognised as a VCD file. The 343 sees it as an audio CD, but my PC plays the MPEGAV file perfectly... Nero accepts it as an VCD format mpeg file and burns it with no probs. Im using my usual brand of CDR media. I suspect the file may be a renamed MPEGAV VCD file, any way to check this?
BTW... VCDimager gives a stream error with I try to author with that...

Try remuxing the file with TMPGEnc or bbMPEG first.
