  1. Ok I just started buring on my new pioneer a04, seems to work great but in the end somthing is wrong. I convert my movies in TMPGEnc from avi to mpg. I use the dvd setting and I converted the sound to 48000 prior to that. Anyways I go to TMPGEnc and start to encode. After a while it gets finished and I open Ulead DVD moviemaker trial. I select new dvd, and load the mpg into it. I unselect the intro menu option and continue. I then hit write dvd. It goes through 4 steps and an hour later the dvdr pops out. I then go to play the dvdr in my dvd player. I pop it in and it good for a minute or so, then the sound is all off from the actuall picture and the movie is getting werid blotches, like two frames getting mixed togeather. I does this throught the movie untill it gets so bad the dvd player just stops. I also done Oceans Eleven and it player perfect untill 20 25 mins or so and it started to do the same thing.

Just need a little help if I'm doing somthing wrong or what.

    Please Help

    Thanks,

  2. Did you play the DVD from the A04?
Did you try to copy the contents of your DVD back to your harddisk?
What parameters did you use with the conversion in TMPGEnc: eg what bitrate etc.?

  3. I went exactly by these instructions https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgencdvd.htm Oh but on the part where you can change the bit rate and the screen size, where you can select filters, The top option was checked - the source range. Is that causing the problem

I have not yet tried to play the dvd on the a04 but I will in about a couple of hours or so.

Any other ideas if im converting it wrong. Do i need to use somthing else going from divx to mpg.

    Let me know

    thanks[/url]

Corruption of the movies is generally a sign that the media might be poor.

What types of blanks are you using?

I have done about 5 movies now. All of them do this. Some play for 20 mins just fine then go to crap, others start like crap.

    Any other ideas

  7. I have two dvd players both stand alone. One dvd player i bought can play all of the vcd/svcd and dvdr stuff, its a jvc sb3000 or somthing like that. I have an older dvd player that is a panasonic, I have no idea which model it is but it seems to play fine at first with a couple of movies, then it craps out. Oh i let my friend borrow a movie, he said it plays fine untill have way through and it starts to mix audio up and then the video is all weird, i dont know what to do.

I was searching and found this topic with Ulead dvd moviefactory http://<a class="contentlink" href="http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12207...p?t=122074</a>

could this be the same reason im having problems?

  8. I got the similar problem with Memorex DVD-R. I burnt Chicken Run but it showed the same problem as you have.
I bought Ritek Prime dvd-r so far it's working but I burnt two or three CVD per disk so I can't tell the Ritek is valid for DVD movie (higher bit). I will copy a DVD movie to Ritek some time soon.
This might be helpful to you.
