  1. Hi All,

I only get a BW picture instead of color while capturing an NTSC Video
I use ULEAD Video Studio 6 and I have checked all the capture properties, but it remains BW. The strange thing is that when I start the tape, for a split second I see color, and then it turnes to BW again.
    I use a GF 4 Capture card.

Hopefully some of you know a solution to my problem

    thanx in advance

Are you using an S-Video cable? Are you in the us ( is NTSC your native format )?

I wouls first check the s-video cable since it breaks down the signal into b&w on one wire and color on another.

No, I used two cinch (?) cables. I'm from Holland, so my native format is PaL. I will check it again with an S- video Cable.

    Anymore suggestions ?

  4. Hi,

I did not succeed with the S-video cable.

I keep getting a split second of color, but after that it remains B&W?

I use a scart-break out with s-video and cinch out.

I don't know why I can get no color?

Does someone has the same problem or a solution ?

    thanx in advance

You may need to set your capture software/driver to NTSC. PAL and NTSC transmit color differently and this is probably why you are not getting color.
