Sony DRU-500 now working with nero 5.5.9.17

After readying about all the problems, and experiencing some problems myself with Nero 5.5.9.14 and HP DVD+R media, I was delighted to see that the new version of Nero appears to support the drive (not listed on the support page yet though) and, yes, burnt the same media it made two coasters out of not two days ago. Hopefully this will solve all of our problems and make life much happier for owners of this drive.

Thanks for all the good tips on media !I have a 50 pack of Accu media on it's way to me now from Meritline, which is also verified to work with this unit.

So did Nero 5.5.9.14 (and I guess also a lot older versions). This has nothing to do with the drive being supported.

Burned a DVD-R using 5.5.9.17 and my DRU-500A.
Everything went fine, unlike 5.5.9.14.

They may not have updated the supported drives list in a long time, but that list shouldn't be considered authoritative.
There may also be omissions in the list...
