Ive read places that with svcds u can add chapters and 5.1 sound. Also something about have a intro or still image logo before the film.
How do u go about doing this and is it that hard.

Yes, you can have a compliant SVCD with chapters. With 5.1 sound it won't be compliant no more and thus will be called a XSVCD. You can also add a intro or still image before the film. Also, under the "How To" tab, click on "Author" and you will find how to make chapters with your (S)VCD's and still images on the same disk!!!
Hope That Helps!!!:P

Actually SVCDs do support 5.1 multichannel mpeg audio so it will still be compliant if done right. The problem is that few hardware combinations support it so for the most part, SVCD is limited to 2 channel sound.
The only non-compliant way I can see to even make a 5.1 audio SVCD would be to just multiplex an ac3 file with your mpeg2 stream, and almost no dvd player would play that.
