I was watching some MAC made SVCDs on my Pioneer DV-343 last night and it was working great. Then I tried to play a DVD and it won't do it. The display just blinks "Title" and it won't recognize the DVD.
I thought at first that since SVCDs are region free that somehow the auto software that detects regions got confused so I checked the region. It is the correct region. SVCDs still work but DVDs won't play.
Any ideas ?

do you have some compressed air and try to blow it out ?
i really dont think any other cleaners for dvd players really work other than blowing them out.
try dropping it about 20cm then with no disk in it flat on its feet (seriously)
did you try a varity of svcd's and vcd and then swapping back to dvd ?
i had this problem before but never sure what fixes it .. usssually i just do the drop and and unplug at same time ..
cures the noise sometimes also ..
