    Hey, I'm planning to buy the JVC XV-S40BK DVD Player. And, I just want to know if this dvd player can play "COPIED" VCD movies on cd-r and cd-rw without problems..if you have this dvd player please leave some feedback. thanks a lot, hope you can help me out.

    JVC has a support option where you can address your question.
    Also, there's info for lot's of DVD-players. I myself own a THA-9 which does exactly what you intend to do. SVCD is not an option for my player as far as i know.

    I got a reply from JVC about my THA-9, and i'm quite sure now it doesn't support SVCD ;-(
