  1. After sucessfully making a great quality SVCD using LeeBear's DIVX (AVI) to (S)VCD using DVD2SVCD guide (Thank you LeeBear ) I read in one of the sections "Preparing the AVI files" "A common problem is the frame rate might be close but not exactly the same as one of the standard rates. For example 23.973 fps may not seem like it'll matter but if you don't fix the problem the audio and video will slowly go out of synch when you encode"

I have an AVI movie file which shows fps as 23.975. (My sucessful movie was 23.976) LeeBear says "there are guides on THIS site that will help you fix the problem".

I have tried looking, searching, guessing and reading forums, BUT, unfortunately, I can't find anything which tells me how to fix this (anything that appears to relate to my problem)

Would one of you kind people point me in the right direction please?

    Many thanks

  2. Look in the convert section for guides on converting NTSC to PAL and vice versa. They will show you how to change the frame rate and get the audio to match. It's not to difficult but can take a while.

But with an avi of 23.975, I dont think you would notice any sync issues over 2 hours when it is encoded at 23.976! According to my calcculations thats an audio drift of 300 milliseconds after 2 hours. I reckon most people wouldn't even notice that!

  3. Thank you very much bugster

I'm pretty sure I can live with an audio drift of 300 milliseconds over 2 hours as well

    Gotta love this site
