    Hi all, first time post great site n'all that.

    Anyway got attack of the clones the shareacter one in 2 files, its encoded in xvid and needs the ac3 codecs for sound (which I installed and it plays great) and I want to convert it to svcd with tmpgenc. BUT... virtual dub doesn't recognise the sound format so I can rip it first and neither will Tmpgenc when I just drop the file in the conversion box. Any idea's from the gurus in here.

    Hmm, maybe you should try converting the AC3 into a WAV...
    in TMPG you select SYSTEM VIDEO ONLY
    you convert

    Later, you multiplex the audio(WAV) and the video (MPG)
