backup won't play in dvd studio

my backup of a dvd wont play in dvd studio pro. when i copy the m2v file and ac3 file to assests and the place into a track, I hit preview, then the movie tries to start but keeps flashing in the top bar where the track 1 is. i opened up the menu for more info in the top right of screen and it looks like it is just looping. help?

Have you used DVDSP before? The manual should help you alot. Be sure to set a default startup option for the DVD before hitting the preview button.

i have used the same proceedure as i have on other dvd rips and it works fine. i am using osex to rip movie in. ten dropping the files into dvd studio pro. Has anyone backed-up black hawk down

i have just tried running the movie thorugh missingmpegtools. when the file is finished and produced a new file i can import it inot dvd studio pro. it starts the movie and it looks like it will work but... after about 10 secs it stops and goes back to the start like a loop? why is this?

Does it actually loop or does it just quit suddenly during the preview? I have previews quit suddenly and it was because the combined bit rate of the audio and video was too high for DVDSP. I can't remember the exact limit, but it's mentioned in the manual. I got around it by converting the ac3 to aiff and then back to ac3 again using Apack.

it was looping. tried another dvd (ice age) this worked fine? very strange
