  1. Apparently I haven't looked everywhere but darn close. I can't find any info on how to repair mpg files. My video and audio are both choppy. I tried MPEG-corrector but it didn't repair it. Any help would be appreicated.
And why does an old question still linger with my new posts?

Didn't repair because it's probably not a repair issue but an encode issue.

    Mpg??? mpeg1 or mpeg2?

Need more background from you. Have you played vcd/svcd before. Where is the problem showing up. What are the specs of the video. What TV system are you on Ntsc vs PAL.

How did you process it. Does it happen with more than 1 video?

More info you give the easier to help you
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

  3. Your old question "lingers" with your new posts because you typed it in your signature box when you created your profile (most likely you couldn't wait to ask a question or just thought that was a box for your question). To get rid of it just go to your Profile (it is at the top when you log in), go down to Signature box and delete the text in it. Then go to the bottom and click Submit.

  4. Actually I have a couple of mpg's that are choppy.
    No available info under properties
    NTSC
I used MPEG-Corrector to decode and since you mentioned encode perhaps that is my problem when I tried to fix it. What does encode and decode actually do?
Title says it is a VCD Master Copy (if you can believe that. So many files are mislabled. Seems folks would rename the file to what it actually is)
    The whole video seems choppy.
I have burned movies to vcd and played ok.
    Thanks for your time.
