I encoded this film with tmpgenc, with a 2 pass vbr. I think the bit rates were an avg of 5000 mbps and a max of 6000 mbps. Sold it at clubs we played at, always checking the compatibility of the dvd players first. Always use Pioneer media 4.7 general media. Never had a problem.
Been doing this a year, no problem. Suddenly it seems like a good quarter of the discs we sell are skipping in people's players. I'm really confused about this. I'm reauthoring the disc and am wondering if there is an ideal bit rate to use?
I'd really like any advice, because I'm really lost on this. Thanks.

Could be due to the batch of blank DVD-R you purchase lately or due to too much sex

I'm thinking it's the sex. Probably forgot to actually BURN the disc's in that case.
Seriously, assuming nothing else has changed...bad batch of discs..righto.Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything... -
My vote is for media. The bitrate does not seem like it should be a problem.
