I am trying to fit a movie onto one CD. I encoded it at a res of 352 x 240 because it looked less blocky than at 480 x 480, even though I have 'smooth block noise' turned on in TMPEGenc. But after the file is encoded, the size on my hard drive was like 744 MB, no problem right? NOT! When I went to burn it onto a cd with Nero and VCD Easy, it came up with a CD size of 850 MB! So what am I doing wrong? Is there a program for burning CVDs? Help!!![]()

Using the MPEG tools of TMPGen, specifically the Merge&Cut option, select MPEG-1 VCD then process your CVD file. Finally, record it using Nero as VCD. A 700 MB CD can accomodate up to 790 MB of a CVD file. E-mail me at believer@cheerful.com if you have more questions.

Not to slight the previous responce, but I have seen this before.
You probably miss clicked. What you are describing usually occurs when you by accident multiplex a SVCD as MPEG-2 VBR under TMPGenc. Go back and re-multiplex as SVCD.
