  1. When i was trying to rip a DVD I got a message saying that I couldn't rip a large size file because I had No ASPI installed.

Ater i installed ASPI from www.adaptec.com , My dvd drive Can't Read DVD Disc's.

I am lost on this subject and am not sure what I can do to fix this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  4. Unzip it.

Run DUMPASPI.BAT (double click on it) to back up your existing ASPI layer.

Then run INSTASPI.BAT to install it.

    Reboot.

Run ASPICHK.EXE to ensure that the ASPI layer is correctly installed.

  5. I did that, still doesn't work.

I spent the Day looking for drivers for the drive but failed to find anything. It is a RAITE RDR-108H.

I uninstalled "Blind Write" and Now it works perfectly! Now use Nero for all my CD Burning.

  7. It must have been an idiosyncratic compatibility issue...
